I spent 3 months in the mountains in southern Spain(feb-may 2001).

North of Malaga, in a small village called 'Villanueva de la Conception'.

The colours of spring were extremely beautiful(as always) and inspiring(as always).

 

It was like watching slow motion fireworks as the flowers, trees, grass and all vegetation exploded into life, and became vibrant, alive and rich in colour.

​

Being in such a beautiful place like this, had a huge influence on my painting.
